Manager of Training Initiatives

(She/Her)

Amanda joined Change Machine in September 2019. In her role as Manager of Training Initiatives, she leads, creates, and implements training curricula to partners across the country on a variety of financial security topics and coaching practices. She is also responsible for refining and implementing instructional design, adult learning principles, and training evaluation methods for the capacity building team to expand the organization’s impact, ensure meaningful learning, and increase collaboration and competency.

Prior to joining Change Machine, Amanda served as a Program Manager with the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, where she oversaw a program dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

Amanda has a special place in her heart for nonprofits, having spent most of her career in human service organizations in various capacities, including as a direct support professional, residential counselor, case manager, and employment coach. Her work in these capacities propelled her work as a trainer, where she found her passion for training human services professionals across the country on best practices in the field. Amanda has trained on various topics including Social Security work incentives, state and federal funding, coaching skills, diversity and inclusion, and cultural competency.

She holds an M.A. in Organizational Leadership and a B.A. in Psychology.
