Convening for Change
Engaging with Fintech to Build an Equitable Economy
Tuesday, November 16th, 2:00 PM EST | 11:00 AM PST
As practitioners, we know that many of our customers are active users of financial technology — from online banking to financial tracking applications and more. And while fintech can create opportunities for customers to build financial security, it can also exacerbate systemic inequities that harm and exclude the communities we serve.
At Convening for Change, we’ll discuss the role of practitioners in helping customers navigate the fintech landscape, as well as the potential for our community of practice to influence the broader fintech industry.
Join our panel of practitioners as we examine the power, potential, and pitfalls of fintech in relation to our vision of an equitable economy.
- Gabby Berumen, Bay Area Manager at Building Skills Partnership
- Andy Collado, Director of Economic Empowerment Programs at Riseboro
- Veronica Ortega, Northern CA Financial Capabilities Coordinator at Building Skills Partnership
- Kiley Summers, Founder of fintech SpenDebt
This panel will be moderated by Change Maker Megan Bolado, Assistant Director of Fintech Partnerships.
We’re also excited to announce guest speaker Erika Wright, Vice President of Global Philanthropy at JPMorgan Chase & Co!
