One in five Americans has medical debt in collections. What is medical debt and what rights and protections do consumers have when it comes to their medical bills? The Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education will review the rules that debt collectors must follaow, as well as how the Affordable Care Act and the No Surprises Act can help patients understand and take control of their medical bills. This webinar will also cover an update on the recent changes in credit reporting on medical collection debt.
