We have a lot of Community of Practice folks who work at the intersection of taxes and financial security, many through VITA programs. This book: The Whiteness of Wealth: How the Tax System Impoverishes Black Americans – and How We Can Fix It, tells the story of tax policy developments that systematically disenfranchise Black Americans and the changes needed to create equity in the tax system. We will have a discussion on some of the themes and learnings from the book.
